1.What cookies and browser storage are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser and receives back on each visit. Local storage and session storage also keep data in your browser, but the website does not receive it automatically. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab.
2.How we use them
We use cookies and browser storage only to keep you signed in, to protect sign-in, to remember your language, display and search settings, and to keep what you were doing while you sign in. This storage is necessary for the service you ask for, or it remembers a choice you made.
We do not use analytics, advertising or social media cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. Under Swiss and EU law, storage that is strictly necessary does not require consent. For this reason we do not show a cookie banner. This policy gives you the information the law requires.

All these entries are set by Katarina itself, and only Katarina reads them. The sign-in cookies are sent only over encrypted connections, and scripts on the page cannot read them.
4.Third-party services
When you choose to sign in with Google or Microsoft, you go to their sign-in page, where they set their own cookies under their own policies.
The map view loads map images from CARTO and the map software from unpkg. These services receive your IP address but do not set cookies.
The Video call tab of our contact page shows our appointment schedule from Google Calendar, a service of Google. It loads only once you open that tab. Google then receives your IP address and can set or read its own cookies, in particular if you are signed in to a Google account, under its own privacy policy.
5.Managing cookies
In your browser settings, you can see and delete cookies and stored data, and block cookies. If you block the sign-in cookies, you cannot sign in. The other entries only remember settings and unfinished input; without them, Katarina uses its default settings.
Our privacy policy explains how we process personal data.
6.Changes to this policy
If we want to use cookies or storage that are not strictly necessary, such as analytics, we will first update this policy and ask for your consent before setting them.
