Scan or type the card: Type the 20-digit card number or let a card reader at reception fill it in. Katarina shows whether the reader is online.

Basic and supplementary cover: You get the patient's name, date of birth, address and AHV number, the insurer, the insured number, the card's validity, the insurance model and the canton, plus supplementary cover such as medicines outside the list, hospital ward and accident cover.

Update the patient record: From a result, start a check-in. Katarina finds the patient or prepares a new one, and you review each change, including the insurance cover, before applying it.
